Diwali,  the indian festival of lights, holds a special significance for Muskaan. We use this occasion to dispel the darkness of ignorance surrounding the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by highlighting their capacities through quality products created by them.
 

Our students are actively working throughout the year to produce a diverse range of products for sale during the Diwali Utsav. The products provide meaningful employment to our students and give them self worth. Our students’ hard work, dedication and enthusiasm to produce quality products is admirable and a source of inspiration for us. 
 

We use the diwali utsav not just to sell the products that they produce but also to show case their abilities and skills. We consider our Diwali Utsav as a change maker in the lives of people with Intellectual Disabilities. The Products made by our students speak for themselves and are the biggest advocates for their capacities & potential of persons with intellectual disabilities.
 

We have been greatly supported in our initiative by the larger community; many of our customers from all parts of the city wait eagerly to buy the Diwali Gift Hampers, Decorative Diyas & Candles along with the all time favourite Food items every year. We also cater to a large number of corporate orders. On an average, we reach out to 50,000-70,000 customers during Diwali.
